Music Choice// Bring Me The Horizon

Bring Me The Horizon or also known as BMTH *say it like bummfff* have been that band when you grow up, you also see grow. They've come back this month with their new album 'That's the Spirit'.
I remember watching my first Bring Me The Horizon concert when I was a wee teen, and I ended up leaving with a busted lip as I got caught on the barrier when a crowd surfer was coming over.
I had my little fan girl moment when Curtis Ward (old guitarist) give me his plectrum that I wish I hadn't misplaced. No one at the time thought BMTH could become any bigger and better.

Around the time of There Is a Hell Believe Me I've Seen It, There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It A Secret came out, there was a lot of controversy. A lot of the fans at the time, were not happy with the change and the majority applauded the new direction they were heading in. It was somewhat anthemic but not exactly 'sell out arena' songs.

The band had a vision and over the past couple of albums it has come through. After playing Leeds and Reading festival just before the headline act it wouldn't suprise me to see them headline a festival such as Download next year.

That's the Spirit, is probably the album of the year, a banger after banger, one with something for everyone. I've even caught my own brother singing along to 'Drown'. My favourites include 'Avalanche', 'Follow You' and 'Blasphemy'.
