*BLOGMAS* Day 6: Getting ready for 12 days of Christmas!

So I feel like it's not so much of a taboo to talk about Christmas lately. Halloween has passed, the nights are freezing cold and the supermarkets have all the stock and the silly jingles that stick in your head all day long. So with all that in mind, we all go through a couple of outfits and well, I can't help but spoil Imogen as it's her first Christmas!

In our house, Christmas is a big deal. We all take the time to dress up, bring things for the dinner, and spend as much time with each other as a family. We have friends of friends coming to our door every year and there's always a new person at our table joining us for dinner. We spend the day watching tv, films, playing games, joking around and well, drinking. It is Christmas after all!

So this year I want to play the 12 days of Christmas dress up with Imogen and to kickstart things, I thought I'd go to the supermarkets rather than the high street before things get too pricey!

The Gruffalo's Child/ The Gruffalo is something I would like Imogen to get into, and the dress/outfit was too cute to pass up. I know it's not quite Christmas themed, but it is Christmas colours.. You see where I'm justifying this?! A dress, vest and tights for £14!

Next I spotted this cute pyjama set. Even though we already have her Christmas PJ's sorted, well I can't help to buy more. I love the feet that are attached, I think the design is one of the cutest around and they make them look more expensive than what they actually are. I can't wait for Imogen to stare at her feet wondering "WHAT ARE THOSE?!". These were only £6!

As the winter has come through quickly, we needed to pick up another sleeping bag, one that was thicker. I've always bought ours from Tesco's just as they are the thickest around for a reasonable price. I decided against swaddling her when I spoke to my midwife so I searched for weeks and found they were the best. When I went in lately, they didn't have any in stock, it was all Christmas so I took to Sainsbury's and I found this one for £12. It's a cute patchwork designed sleeping bag at 2.5 tog. Compared to others at 2.5, it actually is thick ready for winter. The back of it has a lovely floral pattern in red, so it's quite fitting for the season!

There is nothing I love more than check/tartan print in the winter. Being from a Scottish background. This is completely irrelevant to the Christmas theme, but I wanted to show you the little 'clueless' outfit I picked up. It's just so adorable it was hard not to! This outfit was £12.

Slowly I want to build a collection of bibs for the holiday season, because well hey, babies are messy little things! This little 'My first christmas' bib is the cutest addition and for only £1.50 I couldn't say no! Honestly, who let's me roam free in shops?!

Last but not least, babies are always in need of cardigans for these winter months, and although I couldn't quite get it in the right size for the holiday season, it will last through the winter. Soon after buying this, we found it in the sale! Trust me to buy it at the wrong time! Anyway I paid £10 for this lovely knit.

I'm loving blogmas so far, are you?!

Until next time,
