LOVEHEARTS FUN EDITION HANDWASH REVIEW

With Valentines season coming up everyone’s getting giddy for the love season to begin or they’re planning their annual anti Valentines part. I’ve yet to decide if I’m of either persuasion, which I guess is dependent on if my partner is off work. Either way I’m hoping to celebrate it and to get it kick started I’m going back to my childhood routes.

Recently I was contacted by the team at Carex to review their Lovehearts Fun Edition hand wash. I was curious to see how it smelt. Thinking back to being a kid all I can remember is the fondly sweet smell of Palma Violets, Lovehearts and flying saucers. Sugar galore! When I was pregnant I hated everything sweet and it made me feel so sick, so now I’m on the hunt to find things that my stomach will agree with me on.

The hand wash is a cute pastel pink colour and does what it says on the tin. It washes your hands. It’s not the most amazing hand wash you will ever buy in the world, but it certainly does the job. I think it's a lovely hand was to use, as I'm always a fan of all things Carex. It leaves my hands feeling fresh and not dried out during these murky winter months. Now for the smell. It is sickly sweet and smells just like the Lovehearts sweets. It takes me back to the corner shop where I used to buy flying saucers and cola ropes. Strangely it smells like something that you could buy from Lush and that makes me happy for something that’s a fraction of the price.

Although it being sweet and fun I think it’s a lovely addition to their range but it’s not quite for me. I got put off sweet smells during my pregnancy and thus I’ve got a huge bottle of Lush’s Snow Fairy waiting for me to use. If you’re out and about and spot it I would recommend you try it as I do think it has a genuinely nice smell of the childhood sweets but it just isn’t my own cup of tea.
We’re going to sport it in our house during Valentines week either way because my partner loves it. I can’t wait to see what other fun editions Carex come up with!

Until next time,
