MAKEUP OBSESSION MOON HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW

So in November, my go to Boots opened a Beauty Emporium stand in the store selling all sorts of makeup and beauty gifts for people to explore new things. It was part of their new campaign and whilst on the stand we saw things like Benefit, Real Techniques to perfume gift sets I also came across Make Up Obsession. This was a new line that I hadn't even seen before so I wanted to explore some of their products and I came across this highlighter for £3. Too good to be true ey?

On the stand they sold all different make up products in pans ready for you to create your own palette and input things that you would like. They had things from highlighters, strobe creams, eyeshadows, lip products and more. I swatched a couple of strobe creams on my hand in store but as I'm not the biggest cream person, I tried some of the powdered highlighters. I came across this highlight in Moon. WOW. Now. I usually use quite opaque highlights, aka I like to pack it on and shine like a mirror ball and times I like to be a little bit lighter for them natural days. It's a pink highlight with blue tones in it to give you the perfect pearl like shimmer. It does pack shimmer in it, but it's not of the chunky sort. It's not the most finely milled highlight I've worked with but honestly, it doesn't distract from it's greatness.

It reminds me of MUA's highlights in the way that they're both under £5,  they're both amazing highlights not even just for the price, but in general but they have colours that are not quite always easy to find on the market. I normally use this as a cheek highlight and if I'm going somewhere with a dramatic look, I will pop some on the inner corner of my eyes for extra wow power. I would say use a light hand to apply this and I would recommend the Zoeva Highlight Luxe Brush.

I'm going to be going back to boots today to try out a couple more and hopefully create a palette with some eyeshadow's I picked up! I can't recommend this enough for the highlight junkies that are out there and for only £3 for a large pan, you can't go wrong.

Until next time,
