During the winter months my skin begins to take its toll. It suddenly becomes drier than ever and is always in need of a good boost and I’m not just talking about moisture. My skin lacks life, and becomes dull and well, with the sleepless nights I’ve been having it’s always in need of a perk me up. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve tried different skin masks for different reasons and although I normally stay under the £10 budget mark, I’m always hoping for a million pound difference.

So starting with moisturising mask I absolutely love the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask as it’s honestly one of the most moisturising sheet face masks I’ve ever tried. It’s drenched with serum and well, you’ve got to have a little patience when placing this one on your face as it tends to slide all over the place. As with all sheet masks I normally leave this on for half an hour and use them before bed or a big night out. My skin in the morning feels fresh, soft  and like I’ve just had a facial. Normally it’s around the 99p to £1.50 mark and for that price, you can’t go wrong. I’ve even got my friends and my mum hooked on this one!

For days where I want a bit more life to my face where my bags under my eyes are heavier than a designer price tag I turn to the Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask and although it’s a mud mask, I find it really refreshing on my skin. I’ve just found that it’s no longer available in stores so I’m on the look for something similar!

As usual lately I’m a bit late to the band wagon despite the face I see things a million times on TV adverts but I decided to give the L’OREAL Pure Clay Glow Mask a go. It was a very bitty clay mask that aims to clear your skin without drying it out. I didn’t like it on first try but after using it a couple of times a week I started to notice the difference. My pores looked better than ever before and my skin looked brighter. I just find it to be one of the harder face masks to remove even when I mist my face with a hot flannel. Just try not to knock it off after the first try like I did.

It’s no secret that this is one of my favourite face masks to ever exist. Superdrug’s Tea Tree Deep Cleansing Mud Mask. It’s probably the one that my partner hates most due to the smell! It’s very minty and it’s quite overwhelming but I love it. Considering it’s a mud mask I was quite shocked when it came out as an aqua colour and it didn’t irritate my skin. It soothes where I get rosacea on my cheeks and it takes away excess oil I have from around my nose. The effects don’t last long with this one but it makes my skin feel super clean and it looks healthier too. I just wish they did it in a bottle!

Last but definitely not least The Body Shop Tea Tree 3 in 1 Wash Scrub Mask. I went to an event at The Body Shop and while I was on the hunt for anything that would give me a boost, I tried this mask in store. I normally just use it as a quick wash in the mornings  just to freshen my face but it's great for exfoliating before I put on fake tan and is a lovely face mask. I just prefer to use it in my morning routine at the moment! It's full of natural ingredients so it's great for those with sensitive skin. It's the most expensive out of all of the above, but I just use a tiny amount every day and it's lasted me a long time!

Out of all of the face masks mentioned my favourite is the Moisture Bomb from Garnier. It's just refreshing and it's completely unlike any other skin mask I've tried at such a low price. Saying that, I do love all of these for different reasons, and I use them all in different ways.

What are your favourite face masks? Any you would recommend to me?

Until next time,

  1. I absolutely adore Garnier face treatments. I've used quite a few of theirs actually and I nevery feel guilty either as they have such a fab price tag. I also love the Body Shop's blue corn 3 in 1 and also the cosmetic warrior from Lush which isn't too bad on price tag either & is actually incredible! There was a raspberry one I used to love from super drug but I haven't seen it in there in a couple of years :( right now I'm using Elemis which is really good for a moisture boost...not sure how to insert a link but it's on my blog, quite a recent post haha! I do love a good face mask & pamper time.

  2. I really love the look of the tissue mask, I've never come across one before but looks so refreshing, I usually use body shop tea tree clay mask which is amazing x
